Hidden Street Art

Bergen has its share of Street Art, but some of it is fairly well hidden. The top one is at the back of a pub, as for the lower one …

… it has obviously seen better days and is partly destroyed and partly hidden behind stones and boards.

This one is just collecting old scrap metal.

Here there must be some relation to a pub or whatever – the lady even has her own drinking straw.

A December Sunday

desember søndag-38679.jpg

The week-end was very foggy in these parts, but here it has lifted enough to let us see the city’s pride, the bark “Statsraad Lehmkuhl” back home after a long journey in foreign parts.

The Old Warf (“Bryggen”) has also become visible, along with the restored church “Mariakirken” in the background.

But those who took the funicular “Fløybanen” to the top of Mount Fløyen, probably didn’t see much.

November Postcards

November in Bergen-38286.jpg

The autumn is soon over, but we still have some colours left. The other day I passed by a small lake (called Lille Lungegårdsvann) in the middle of Bergen. The sun was shining, and there were hardly any clouds to be seen. The temperature was all of 5 degrees C. And, yes, I admit that the photos turned out a bit too much like picture postcards, but so what?

We must enjoy it while we can. Today it is raining, and next week it will be The Deep Freeze.
