A Country of Cyclists

Skagen-35352

Denmark is a country made for cyclists. Not only is the country flat as a tabletop, but everywhere there are special lanes reserved for cyclists, like here in the outskirts of Skagen

If you have twins there is also a solution – a specially designed tricycle

Another type of tricycle is for carrying goods, like for instance your dog

And it is quite possible to ride a bike without steering and use a mobile phone at the same time

However, even the Danish cyclists have problems with red lights

  1. Great to see that, people are using bicycle for their local travel.

The culture is vanishing quickly from our place and even I really miss my bicycle …

I am planning to buy one soon πŸ™‚

  2. RuneE — Enjoyed the Danish ways of using their bikes. Especially liked the tricycle with the front large basket for carting goods. I live in a college town of about 50,000 people of which there are very many students that ride bikes. We too have special lanes for bikers. I believe the use of biking for both long trips and short is growing in the states. — barbara

  3. I’ve been to bicycle friendly cities but I am afraid Sydney is not one of them. Our motorists are too impatient! I love your shots of cyclists on quiet streets.

    • Thank you Valerie πŸ™‚
I seem to remeber there was a bit of impatient traffic in Sydney – at least when I dried to drive there πŸ˜‰
